Capitalism? NO!
Communism? NO!
Socialism? NO!

All three of these ideas are outdated and irrelevant because they were created by writers and political systems that were transitioning away from classical monarchy to new systems of mass economic control that put the powers traditionally attributed to kings into the hands of a minority of oligarchs, plutocrats, politicians, and merchants more than a hundred years ago and because all three ideas, each in their own way and each with their own unique rhetoric of circular reasoning, create a self-referring and unsustainable frame of reference that unilaterally supports mandating competitive hierarchy, unequal distribution of power and necessary resources, and infinite growth as the best and only way to exist with an almost total disregard for science’s capacity to be utilized to fulfill all human needs and understand nature’s limits. All human beings are far more creative and far more deserving than any and all of these three ideas have ever or will ever permit us to be.

We’re running into a lot of new problems today because of what we emphasize in this culture. The word ‘success’ to the average person means earning a lot of money and having a home, two cars, children in college. Success to me is entirely different to what success is to the average person.

Success is being a successful human being in terms of pursuing what you believe in. If you believe in making paintings, writing poetry, writing music. If this is what you really want, you’re successful to yourself. But to be successful to your culture means to sell yourself short of what you really want

Perhaps the most significant thing a person can know about himself is to understand his own system of values. Almost every thing we do is a reflection of our own personal value system. What do we mean by values? Our values are what we want out of life. No one is born with a set of values. Except for our basic physiological needs, such as air, water, and food, most of our values are acquired after birth.

If we had grown up in a society where people do not stress material wealth, money would not have played an important part in our value structure. In Samoa food is there for the taking.

Coconuts and fruit grow without cultivation, fish are available in the nearby sea, little or no clothing is needed, and it doesn’t take long to put up a thatched-roof hut from materials that grow on all sides. In such a society people may be less likely to work hard for money. People conditioned in this manner do not act in ways men consider acquisitive, competitive, and thrifty.

With all techonolgies today we can create abundance. It can be used to improve everyone’s lifestyle and abundance all over the world, if we use our technologies wisely and maintain the environment.

The reason religion doesn’t work is because there are still wars, there’s still hatred, there’s still armies and navies. And as long as you have that and you don’t have religion, people talk to me about ‘Is there a place for religion in the future?’. Yes if it’s put into work.

The Bible says ‘Thou shall not kill’. I don’t know any Christians that behave that way. The Bible says ‘Love your enemy’. The Bible says ‘When man strikes you, turn the other cheek’. The Bible says ‘The love of money is the root of all evil’. I don’t see anybody behaving that way.

So I would say the Bible has very little influence to social culture. The media, television, radio, newspapers are all a part of the establishment and they all push the established point-of-views. We don’t want that. We want an emergent culture, not established. One that continually undergoes change and improvement.

Someone asks for a good way to approach religious people. Jacque says:

By asking them to be honest with you first and asking them why they support war when the Bible says ‘Thou shall not kill’. It doesn’t say you can kill on Wednesday afternoon only. It says Thou Shall not kill and thou shall not judge other people and everybody does jury duty. So, you can’t exist. You can’t practice your religion in this culture
